Avengers wojna bez granic cda caly film. You know I still love it. That is why I gave 8 stars. But the movie is also fundamentally flawed in my opinion.
I get it jokes are fun and good. And some of the jokes actually do work great here. Some other scenes are just stupid (as for example Black Widow getting blood spilled on her face in the middle of a battle and making a "joke" scene out of it. I feel like the movie is actually not dark enough (spare your DC comments. Because I also feel like Marvel recycles the success principle they discovered in the first Guardians movie (fast-paced, pun-heavy, colorful and action-driven) and do not venture in anything new.
I truly think the best thing about the movie is Thanos. I really liked and enjoyed him. No matter the critics (no movie villain will fully ever make sense. But finally we got a threatening, dark but complex villain showing no mercy driven to pursue his goals and doing so successfully.
Many other things dampen the great impression I think such as:
- too much action and fights in the first half of the movie. You become saturated unfortunately quickly with too many fights.
- too many jokes (especially some of them were just bad and annoying like the one mentioned above. And you feel how they tried to incorporate them in there.
- the movie was epic and felt so but could have felt far more epic even if they did not try to copy the fun-marvel guardians principle for once and would have concentrated on dark epic story-telling
- very many illogical and unsatisfying thing happening as the death of Loki or Hulk just losing a boxing match against Thanos while others (Thor to be precise) can still hurt him and bring actually close to death while he already wields all 6 infinity stones? this difference in fight writing makes no sense to me.
- just ridiculous things as casting peter dinklage as supersized dwarf. Sorry, I love Dinklage in GOT and everything, but here the scene felt like a parody of GOT and the whole MCU to me, as if you can see the directors being like "oh you know what let us do something sooo funny and cast Peter Dinklage as giant (dwarf. Stupid unncessary decision. If so you could have made him look cool at least (and not show Dinklage's face with a beard basically.

To be honest, with 10 years worth of movies backing this movie, it makes it hard for newcomers if this was your first movie, but the Russos did an amazing job on this movie "yes it works! Amazing color, actors, story(though doesn't follow the Infinity Gauntlet comics at all) design, BGM.
Every scene in this movie screams "epic. br> Nuff said. Pretty sure everyone has seen it by now...
